Wirahandayani, Marthalisa Octavia, Dian Kurniawati, Kurniawati Nadilla, Hana Syalwa |
Physical bullying in school-age children hurts emotional development and self-regulation skills. Self-awareness and self-management are two core competencies in building children's psychological resilience. However, contextually relevant measurement instruments remain limited. This study aimed to develop and validate a culturally appropriate instrument to measure self-awareness dan self-management in school-age children based on the CASEL framework. A Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed, involving indicator development grounded in relevant theory and literature, content validity assessment by two experts (a pediatric nursing expert in child pyschosocial development and an educational psychology expert in psychosocial measurement), and psychometric testing. The instrument was tested on 210 children aged 9-11 years. Construct validity was examined using Exploratory Factor Analysis, and internal consistency reliability was assessed using Cronbach's Alpha. The final isntrument comprises 58 valid and reliable items grouped into two main constructs and ten underlying factors. This instrument is suitable for further application in assessing self-awareness and self-management among school-age children who experience bullying.

Yudianto, Kurniawan Fernanda, Ni Putu Mulia |
Postoperative pain needs to be a concern for nurses because pain causes discomfort, one of the basic human needs. Untreated postoperative pain can affect quality of life and the recovery process. With a management approach, the nursing process can be integrated with the management process. Control and evaluation as part of the management process is important because at this stage the nursing manager can determine the quality of care provided. This case study aims to describe the use of the Revised American Pain Society Patient Outcome Questionnaire (APS-POQ-R) in evaluating pain management. Patient was admitted with post-spinal decompression and posterior stabilization e.c tuberculosis spondylitis. Pain management includes observing pain, deep breathing relaxation techniques and praying/dzikir, providing education about the causes, triggers, and strategies to relieve pain, as well as providing collaborative measures of ketorolac analgesics. Evaluation of pain management with this questionnaire was carried by researcher out in the first 24 hours postoperative. After receiving pain management, an overview of the severity and reduction of patient pain, the impact of pain on activity, sleep, and negative emotions, the side effects of using ketorolac, the usefulness of information about pain management, the patient's ability to participate in pain treatment decisions, and use of non-pharmacological strategies. The APS-POQ-R can be used to evaluate of six aspects of patient pain management.

Rahayu, Selvia Susilaningsih, F Sri Komariah, Maria |
Compliance level of healthcare workers in performing hand hygiene is a significant aspect of patient safety goals. However, it is still not optimal and is one of the critical problems of many hospitals globally, including in Indonesia. The non-optimal consequence of hand hygiene compliance is hospital-associated infections since hands are an intermediary medium for transmitting infection. This literature aims to determine the level of compliance of health workers in performing hand hygiene and find out several matters that can be done so that the health worker's compliance can be optimal or increased. Review of articles through several electronic databases including PubMed and ProQuest, with the keywords "Compliance", "Hand Hygiene", "Health Workers", and "Hospital". Inclusion criteria include articles published between 2005 and 2019, health worker respondents, English language, full text and observation, or interview data collection techniques. The literature search found 212 articles, and after manual review, ten articles were identified and assessed using the JBI form (Joanna Briggs Institute). The literature review findings suggest that, following the intervention, the level of compliance of health workers in performing hand hygiene is still lacking and growing. The conclusion is that more significant support from the hospital (e.g., role models, audits, adequate infrastructure, education and repeated training), the greater the compliance of health workers in performing hand hygiene.

Ermiati, Ermiati Mamuroh, Lilis Srimurni, Nita Ayu |
Pregnancy and childbirth are physiological processes that influence maternal mortality and morbidity risk factors. Proper mental and physical preparation is essential to prevent pathological conditions that may affect pregnant women. One effective intervention is engaging in physical activity, which positively impacts both the mother and fetus. This literature review aims to examine the relationship between physical activity and the health of pregnant women in physical, psychological, socio-economic, cultural, and environmental aspects. This study employs a literature review methodology using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and MetaAnalyses) approach. Article selection was conducted using the PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) framework, with keywords such as “pregnant women,” “physical activity,” “sports,” “benefits,” and “exercise” in Indonesian and English. The literature search was performed using Sage Journals, Scopus, and Google Scholar for articles published between 2019 and 2024 also free full-text. A total of six relevant studies were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that physical activity offers significant benefits for pregnant women and fetuses, particularly in improving their quality of life both physically and mentally. Pregnant women in rural areas tend to be more physically active than those in urban areas, and light exercises such as walking or yoga help reduce the body’s burden, enhance sleep quality, alleviate stress, and prevent pregnancy complications. Further longitudinal research and education are necessary to understand the long-term effects of physical activity on pregnant women and to raise awareness of its benefits, especially in urban areas. Keywords: Maternal well-being, Pregnancy, Physical activity

| 1672460 | #7252 | Reproduction Period Of Javanese Women |
Kusumawati, Eka Dewi Kawulur, Elda Irma Jeanne Joice Rohmatullayaly, Eneng Nunuz |
A woman's reproductive life goes through several phases including menstruation, childbirth and menopause. The first menstrual event experienced by a woman is called menarche, while the end of the menstrual period is called menopause. The age intervals for menarche and menopause describe the reproductive period or fertile age for a woman to become pregnant and give birth. The postreproductive period characterized by menopause is related to a woman's life expectancy and is important for assessing the quality of life. This research aims to determine the reproductive period of Javanese women in Oransbari, South Manokwari Regency. Cross-sectional research was conducted on women with an average age of 51.73 years with an interval of 40.18-69.59 years. The inclusion criteria were women who had experienced menopause. The age of menarche and menopause were analyzed using the Generalized Linear Model (GLM) in the R program. We found that the age at menarche (12.3 years) and age at menopause (43.1 years) of Javanese women in Oransbari were relatively young. This condition results in a shorter reproductive period (30.8 years) compared to several populations in Indonesia such as Sunda, Baduy, Tengger, Lampung, and Semendo. The reproductive period, which tends to be short, might be an adaptive response to environmental challenges that were less favourable as a pioneer transmigration society, such as high physical activity and low socio-economic conditions. The biocultural conditions experienced in the early life of Oransbari form a reproductive period that starts and ends early as an adaptive response to maximize reproductive success. Wulandari, Astri Eka Susilaningsih, F. Sri Somantri, Irman |
Nurses need compassion when providing health services. Compassion felt by nurses can be Compassion Satisfaction (positive aspects) and Compassion Fatigue (negative aspects), and may affect nursing care and Nurses’ Professional Quality of Life. The tendency to negative aspects will be felt by the nurses themselves, patients and hospitals. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of life of professionals (Professional Quality of Life) nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Room (ER) of the Kota Bandung Hospital. This research was a quantitative descriptive study. Involving 62 nurses from ICU and ER through total sampling technique with a response rate of 97%. Data was collected using Professional Quality of Life (ProQol) version 5 then analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results showed that 20.97% had a positive Professional Quality of Life according to the Stamm combination interpretation while outside of Stamm's interpretation, 32.26% tended to be positive. According to the results of the average score of each sub-variable, Compassion Satisfaction was in the medium category. The highest average score of compassion satisfaction was ICU nurses, the highest secondary traumatic stress was PICU/NICU nurses and the highest average score of burnout was emergency nurses. Hospitals need to conduct regular reviews of nurse Professional Quality of Life and conduct counseling programs for nurses who have ProQol towards negative and risky aspects.

| 1672458 | #7252 | Application of Hand Held Fan Therapy and Orthopneic Position to Reduce Dyspnea in Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Patients: Case Report |
Salsabilla, Sausan Zahrah Salwa Platini, Hesti Sari, Eka Afrima |
Introduction: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a condition in which the heart is unable to pump blood effectively to meet the body’s needs, resulting in decreased cardiac output. This leads to fluid accumulation in the lungs due to increased pulmonary venous pressure, which subsequently triggers pulmonary edema. Pulmonary edema causes impaired oxygen diffusion in the alveoli, resulting in dyspnea as the primary complaint in CHF patients. The main nursing problem that arises is impaired gas exchange, indicated by an increased respiratory rate, decreased oxygen saturation, and the use of accessory respiratory muscles. To help address impaired gas exchange in CHF patients, non-pharmacological therapies such as the use of a hand-held fan and the implementation of an upright sitting position (orthopnea position) can be utilized. Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of the hand-held fan and orthopneic position interventions in CHF patients experiencing shortness of breath. Methods: This study employed a case study approach based on observation, interviews, and medical record reviews. The interventions hand-held fan and orthopneic position were administered over three days, with each session lasting 5 minutes. Results: Following the interventions, respiratory rate decreased from 30 breaths per minute to 25 breaths per minute, and oxygen saturation increased from 95% to 98%. The patient reported feeling more relieved, comfortable during breathing, and able to sleep more easily, although occasional shortness of breath persisted. Discussion: The interventions are physiologically beneficial: the orthopneic position helps reduce venous return to the heart, thereby lowering pulmonary pressure, while hand-held fan therapy alleviates the perception of breathlessness through sensory stimulation of the face, which activates the V2 branch of the trigeminal nerve. Conclusion: The combination of hand-held fan therapy and the orthopneic position is effective in relieving dyspnea, reducing respiratory rate, and improving oxygen saturation in patients with congestive heart failure

Apriani, Elizabeth Sarah Somantri, Irman Pahria, Tuti |
Latar Belakang.
